Michael graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Forestry in 1983. Since that time he has enjoyed a career as a Registered Forester, and a Real Estate Broker in Mississippi since 1986. He held a license as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Mississippi for a portion of that time. He has assisted private landowners in timber, farm and wildlife land management and sales for over thirty years. He has served as President of Halfacre Consulting Inc. working out of Louisville, Mississippi.

His passion is developing long-term relationships with landowners built on a high level of trust and integrity. Many of his management clients have enjoyed his services for over 25 years.

He has experienced an increase in demand for assistance in locating, evaluating and acquiring timber and recreational properties over the last 10 years. Changes in markets have demanded the necessity of careful evaluation and resulted in a greater number of landowners and investors needing a knowledgeable, reputable partner.
