Born and raised in Sneads, Florida, a charming small town nestled in the heart of the Florida Panhandle, Marissa grew up surrounded by farmland, the serene shores of Lake Seminole, and the Apalachicola River. It is there that she developed a love for the outdoors and the lifestyle it supports. Growing up in North Florida, Marissa spent her time playing sports, hunting, fishing, and going to the beach with her family.
In 2019, Marissa received a scholarship to Chipola College where she played softball and graduated with her Associate Degree. In 2021, Marissa was offered a Division I scholarship to continue her education and softball career at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida where she played for three and a half years. Marissa served as team captain for two years, showcasing her leadership and dedication both on and off the field. She would go on to graduate from Stetson University with Magna Cum Laude honors earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies with minors in Sport Business and Psychology.
Now residing in Brandon, Mississippi, Marissa enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending and serving at Pinelake Church in Clinton, watching Mississippi College Baseball, and giving softball lessons at D-Bat in Pearl. She loves Mississippi for its southern hospitality, rich history, music legacy, Mississippi State athletics, and beautiful landscapes. Marissa believes that Mississippi leaves a lasting impression on anyone who visits or calls it home.
