My name is Sam Sample, and I reside in Holmes County, Mississippi. I am a Realtor and one of several land specialists with Tom Smith Land and Homes. My family and I have lived on our farm for the past 40 years, and I personally have lived here all my life. I attended public and private school in Holmes County, as well as Junior College. I met my wife while attending college, and we immediately returned to my family’s farm to make our home. Regardless of what some may see as an economically disadvantaged area, it has never entered my mind to move my family away from this area. What others see in Holmes County as remote and out of the mainstream is the very thing that continues to keep me attracted to this area. I worked for an electric power association for 23 years in Holmes, Humphries, Yazoo, Warren, Sharkey and Issaquena counties. I have been an insurance associate since 2002. My past work experience has enabled me to pursue my primary interest and passion, which is a genuine love for the land. I am the owner operator of a family farm producing cattle, timber and hay. My farm also provides recreational activities such as hunting, fishing and hiking.
