Michael was born and raised in Cleveland, MS. He spent two years at Moorehead Community College completing General Education courses. He then transferred to Delta State University where he graduated with a minor in Business Administration and a major in Real Estate and Insurance. He moved to Jackson, MS in February of 2007 to begin his career as a Real Estate Broker and Appraiser.
